Day 85: Did Carol say sour grapes?

Week 13:  Eat 1 cup of grapes each day this week.

Barry J.

Good morning. I woke up really early this morning. It always seems that way when I don’t have Luke. I had my breakfast salad and since Carol added my new goal of eating a cup of grapes each day, I just threw those future raisins into the mix and gobbled them up like Pac-Man eating blue ghost (ask Cindy Harris if you don’t know what a Pac-Man is – on second thought, it’s probably better that you don’t). If you think my view on TV is bad, you don’t even want to get me started on video games, so for fear of losing any younger readers, “snap, snap, snap, snap.” What was that, you ask? Me snapping my mouth shut. Notice I did it four times instead of my usual two times – I have a HUGE mouth. Anyway.
I’m up to at least ten push-ups a day. They are the first thing I do when my feat hit the floor in the morning. I’m feeling good and heading out for my walk, which I am really looking forward to.
I didn’t mention in yesterday’s blog about the Phillies game J.D. and I went to. Our beloved Phillies lost, but we got to watch Boston’s pitcher Diasuke Matsuzaka fall one hit short of pitching a no-hitter. It was amazing. The cool part was that there were a lot of Boston fans in the stands, so the energy among the 43,000 or so people was very intense and very positive. Even though our boys got beat, they got beat by something that has only been done 265 times, I think, in the history of the game. And if it wasn’t for a little “bloop” shot by Valdez,  Mr. Matsuzaka would have been number 266. Great job Diasuke, thanks for a great game. Phillies still rock and will make it to the playoffs whereas the Red Sox won’t. I had to get that dig in. I still don’t like it when we get beat. Especially by the Red Sox. SOUR GRAPES!
I hope everybody out there has a great day and their grapes are sweet.
Later,
Barry J
