Day 175: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKE!

Week 25:  Do at least 15 push-ups each day this week.

Good afternoon. And what a good afternoon it is. My son has turned two today, and he is healthy, happy and altogether great. I am also happy - happy that he is here and has given me a reason to be healthy and happy to make good choices for myself. So thanks, Luke. I love you more than anything I could ever write.
I hope everybody is having a wonderful day like Luke and me.

Day 171: He’s a little hacker, I tell you.

Week 25:  Do at least 15 push-ups each day this week.

Good afternoon. I just got done writing and working out and jogging – not all at the same time, mind you, but you get the picture. Everything has been going pretty well on my end. I’m getting ready for Luke’s second birthday on Saturday, so I’ve got a lot of things to take care of today. Got to go get them party hats. I’m also getting him this really cool gift that I’ll tell you about later because if I tell you now, he might find out. I’m telling you, I think the kid reads this blog.
Sorry so short.
I hope everybody has a great day, and if you are reading this, Luke, you’d better have permission to be on the computer.

Day 149: 14,610 days and counting.

Week 21: Walk/Run 30 minutes, 4 days this week – Walk 10 minutes, (run 1 minute / walk 1 minute) x5, Walk 10 minutes

Good morning. Wow, I turned 40! That’s a pretty big accomplishment for me. I can’t believe I made it past 16 to tell you the truth, but here I sit. I still feel young at heart and I believe life is good. The way I’m eating and exercising I’ll be around for another 40 years and enjoying them with no problem.
Last night I was dealing dice and I was talking to one of the supervisors about it being my birthday at midnight.  He said, “Let me guess how old your going to be…42.” I looked at him and said, “Ben in all my 40 years on this big ball of mud no one has ever guessed my age to be more than what it is.” He looks at me and says “Ahh Baar, I feel awful. I was never good at guessing.” And I go to him, “What are you talking about?  You were only two years off. That’s a great guess.” I went on break and was talking with my friend Sara.  Now mind you, it’s twenty minutes until midnight, but I don’t say anything to Sara about it going to be my birthday. She says to me, “Hey Barry, aren’t you going to wish me a happy 27th birthday?  You only have twenty minutes left.” I say, “Hey that’s great. Happy birthday.” Then I tell her mine is at twelve, and I let her know what Ben just guessed my age was. Sara goes to me, “Wow Barry, I would have guessed early thirties.”  That made up for everything, because I would rather a beautiful young blond woman think I was younger than I am, than a young male supervisor think I was older than I actually am any day of the week. (or is that any year of the century?) I don’t know. To tell you the truth, it’s all relevant any how. I’m cool with what I am. Heck, I’m just happy to be here.
I hope everybody has a great day and enjoys getting older everyday.
