Week 9: Eat a banana every day this week.

Barry J.
Good afternoon. And what a great day it is, for numerous reasons. Let’s start with the fact that I have Luke, and we just got back from a local amusement park called Knobles. It’s a hidden treasure here in Pennsylvania. A place where you don’t have to pay for parking or admission, and the food prices are very reasonable. But another cool thing about Knobles is that Luke and I got there today at 9:15 in the morning and were walking around the inside of the park even though the rides didn’t open until noon. The truth of the matter is, we left at 11:45 am because Luke was “all doe Dado” which translates to, “I’m all done Daddy and I’m ready to go home.” And I was down with that because we walked all over the place. You see, the park is located in the woods, and there’s a beautiful stream running through it so it’s not like a concrete jungle gym or an artificial landscape. It’s just plain old awesome. If you ever get a chance to go, I highly, highly recommend it.
The second reason I’m having a great day is because I lost my Aunt Ellen’s cat, Tabby. Well, I should clarify this. My Aunt Ellen (you know the one who likes to make a hole bigger in clothing if she can), well, when I was growing up she had a cat named Tabby and this cat was the love of her life. Tabby was also a big cat. Not a huge cat, mind you, but a big cat. My old bassist, Dan, had a huge cat named Mitchell, but Tabby was just a big cat – bigger than the normal domesticated cat which is ten pounds on average. I remember when I was about eleven or so I asked my Aunt how much Tabby weighed and she said about seventeen pounds. Well folks, the weight I lost in the past two months is the equivalency of my Aunt Ellen’s cat, Tabby. I stopped in at my cousin J.D.’s last night and jumped on his scale, and to my happiness the digital readout read 243 pounds. I feel great. I’ll be posting up some new pictures within the next couple of days, and I’m truly looking forward to seeing if I can see the difference. I know I can feel it. I know my clothes are fitting differently. I just can’t see it when I stand in front of the mirror. But I have a feeling that’s just because I see myself every day. I’m hoping that when I compare my beginning picture with my two month picture I’ll be able to see some sort of change, and if not I still have ten months to go. Another thing is, I’m sure my insides are much healthier with all this good stuff Carol has put on my menu. So once again, THANKS CAROL! YOU ROCK, PAPER AND SCISSOR!!!
I hope everybody out there has a great day, and if you see Tabby out there I don’t want her back but I’m sure my Aunt Ellen would love to see her.
Later,
Barry J.
